Making Jesus known

VISITING US

Everyone is invited to come and join us on Sunday mornings and explore the Christian faith for themselves. We know that coming somewhere new can sometimes be a bit daunting, so we’ve put a few FAQ’s below:

Where do you meet?

We meet in Biddenden village halls, 10:30 am every Sunday morning. You can park outside the village halls or in either of the car parks in Biddenden. They are all free. Our services are held in the new hall; the entrance is on the far left-hand side of the buildings.

What do you?

When we meet, we spend some time singing, praying and listening to a talk from the Bible. As a visitor, you are welcome to take part in as much or as little as you want to. You won’t be put on the spot or asked to do anything. The service will usually last about an hour and 15 minutes. After the service, we have time for tea and coffee and a chat together. We’d love it if you wanted to stick around to get to know us.

Do I have to be religious or "churchy"?

No, our services are for absolutely everybody, from every religious background or none. We try to explain what we’re doing, and it’s totally fine if you’ve never been to church before. All we ask is that you come with an open mind and an open heart to see what God might say to you.

Do I have to dress up?

No, you can wear whatever you like!

Do I have to bring any money?

No, everything is free, including the refreshments. Our church is paid for by our members and regular attenders generously giving, but we don’t take a collection in the service, and you won’t be asked to give at any point.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! We love having children with us, and they are really welcome. Partway through the service, we usually have a creche and a Sunday school for primary-age children. Your children would be welcome to go out with our groups or stay with you for the whole service if you’d prefer. All our children’s work volunteers are DBS checked.

How do I get more involved?

Hope Community Church has a formal membership. Everyone who is committed to the work of the church and who agrees with our basis of faith is invited to become a church member. Church members support the work of the church by loving one another, serving together, praying and giving where they can.

Who is in charge?

Hope Church Community Church is an independent church, which means the members of the church make the final decision. Day by day, we’re led by a group of elders, one of whom is our Pastor, Dave Stone.

What if I’ve got additional needs?

The halls are wheelchair accessible, and there is usually parking just outside the entrance. Our services don’t have loud noises, and there are no flashing lights. Baby changing facilities are available. If you have more specific questions, please contact us. [link]
